About Volunteering

From the very beginning, volunteers have been an integral part of all that we do in our communities. Hands Of Hope (HOH) was started by volunteers and volunteers continue to be involved throughout all our operations.  We would like to thank you for your interest in supporting the work we do in Middlesex County & beyond! We want to ensure that the safety and ease of mind of our volunteer partners are addressed. We suggest all volunteers exercise safe and healthy judgment in determining their attendance at HOH activities and events. All weekday volunteers must be scheduled in advance. We cannot accept walk-ins during the week. We require all our volunteers to register ahead of time using our online portal.

  • All Volunteer work must be scheduled in advance.

  • All Volunteers must be 15 years or older on the date they volunteer,

  • Some opportunities have lifting/standing requirements. Reasonable accommodations will be made for volunteers in need of assistance

  • Closed-Toe shoes are required while volunteering. Please wear comfortable and weather appropriate attire for all shifts

  • Hands Of Hope relies on the donation of time from volunteers to successfully get food to people in need. If you are unable to attend an event, please let us know ASAP!

  • Distribution Days are rain or shine events unless severe weather or extreme heat/cold is forecast

Many of our volunteer opportunities are on the first and third Saturdays of each moth; we do have limited weekday slots. Please see below for all available opportunities
