At Hands of Hope for the Community, we are here to help our neighbors access the food and essential resources they need. To ensure we can serve everyone fairly and efficiently, we ask all clients to review and follow the eligibility requirements and program guidelines below. These guidelines help us meet the requirements of our community partners while making each distribution as welcoming, organized, and respectful as possible.

Step 1
Confirm Eligibility
Before visiting, please make sure your household meets our basic eligibility requirements.

Residency Requirement
You must currently live in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Proof of your current Middlesex County address is required at registration. Please review residency requirements here
​
Income Requirement
Households must meet the current income eligibility guidelines established by our food assistance partners. Eligibility is based on total household income and household size.
Please review the income guidelines here before visiting.

Other Requirements
In addition to income and residency requirements, clients must meet be receiving assistance from one of the government programs below to receive food​

Disaster (Can Be Divorce, Domestic Violence, Unusal Expense, Loss Of Employment)

Medicaid

SNAP/Food Stamps

SSI (Supplemental Security Income)

TANF (Temporary Assistance For Needy Famlies)

WIC (Woman, Infants & Children)
Step 2
Gather Documents
To make registration as quick and easy as possible, please have all required documents and household information ready before you arrive.

You will be asked to provide basic information, including your name, address, household size, household member information, and income eligibility information.
This information is used to determine eligibility, maintain required program records, and help us better understand and serve the needs of our community.
Please bring the required identification and proof of Middlesex County residency listed here.

Understanding these guidelines will help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Step 3
Visit Us In Person
Once you have confirmed your eligibility and gathered your documents, visit Hands of Hope during any scheduled food distribution between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM.

Please bring all required documents with you. A member of our team will complete your registration, answer any questions, and help you get started.
